U8 Red –Strong Showing in Germantown

The Hamilton Jr Chargers U8 Red team placed second place in the Germantown Classic baseball tournament this past weekend. The Jr. Chargers finished 3-1 overall, running out of steam in the championship game, falling to the Prospects Training Academy U8 squad.

For the tournament, the Jr. Chargers boys had a strong hitting performance. Overall, the Jr. Chargers collected 53 hits and scored 52 runs over four games. Sean Moser and Vincent Rubens led the way, each racking up ten hits for the tournament. Caleb Ruppel contributed with a nine hit performance. Carson Mach continued to launch bombs, collecting a homerun, two triples and a double. Logan Pudlosky also hammered away with a triple and two doubles. In game two, Evan Gilles delivered three hits, including a homerun and a double, leading the team with a seven RBI game.

The pitching staff held opponents to just 28 hits and 23 runs over four tournament games.

The U8 Red squad is looking forward to a rematch against the Prospects at the Summer Classic next weekend.
