U8 Red finds success at tournaments so far this season

U8 Red Co-Champs- 2021 Battle in New Berlin

The Hamilton Jr Chargers U8 Red team posted a 2-0 record en route to being named Co-Champions of the 2021 Battle in New Berlin. The Jr Charger boys defeated the Elmbrook Braves 11-5 and recorded a 7-4 win against a stacked Milwaukee Bombers team. U8 Red shared the tournament victory with the New Berlin Pumas due to a rain shortened weekend.

In the Elmbrook game, the Jr. Chargers platoon pitched their way to victory. Five pitchers held Elmbrook to just three hits in five innings of play, while recording 13 strikeouts. Taking the mound for U8 Red were Sean Moser, Bryce Wanner, Evan Gilles, Logan Pudlosky and Everett Ellis. Bryce Wanner was credited as the winning pitcher.

At the plate against Elmbrook, the Charger boys racked up 12 hits and nine walks, with Caleb Ruppel, Vincent Rubens, Sean Moser, Bryce Wanner and Jack Jacoby, each contributing multiple hits.

Against the Milwaukee Bombers, Carson Mach and Vincent Rubens took the hill, holding their opponent to just 5 hits and 4 walks in five innings of play. Mach earned the win, striking out five. At the plate, five chargers had multiple hits, with Mach and Rubens logging a double and a triple, respectively.

U8 Red Goes 4-0 in Pewaukee Father’s Day Tourney Win

The Hamilton J Chargers U8 Red team posted a 4-0 record on their way to a tournament win in Pewaukee. The Jr. Charger boys earned two hard fought wins against a tough Oak Creek Zone team, along with run rule victories against the Pewaukee Jr Pirate White and Gray teams.

The Jr. Chargers delivered a 12-1 victory in the championship game against Pewaukee Gray. Sean Moser earned the win for the U8 Red team, striking out four and walking none over two innings. Vincent Rubens closed the game out, recording five strikeouts and no hits in relief.

At the plate, Moser, Rubens, Carson Mach, Logan Pudlosky and Owen Todd, each racked up more than two hits apiece, as the team delivered 12 hits in the game. Rubens led the way with three hits, including two doubles. Moser and Mach both blasted doubles in the game as well. Pudlosky lead the team with four RBIs.
