The Jr Chargers U12 Red team won its second tournament in a row on Sunday. Pitching was a key to success all weekend with the Chargers throwing shut outs in the first two games. Nate Buchanan threw a no-hitter in a 15-0 victory against the Slinger Owls, and Kolton Nimmer pitched a one hitter in a 16-0 victory over Pewaukee Red. In the nail-bitter championship game, Cole Erdmann shut down Empire U12 pitching the final three innings and giving up only one hit while recording all nine outs via strikeout.

At the plate, everyone player contributed with hits in the 39-run weekend scoring spree. Ben Koch led the barrage for the Chargers collecting seven hits, scoring seven runs, and driving in six RBIs. Caleb Ott, along with Tristan Haigh and Drew Olsson also drove in four runs apiece. In the end it was a bases loaded walk off single by Brayden Schroeder that won the championship (8-7) in the bottom of the sixth inning. What an awesome win on Father’s Day.
