Last season we announced we would be enhancing our Skill Specific Camp Series, well we are doing just that. We will kick off our series on Sunday December 2nd with our Fielding Camp. We will have 2 sessions: U8-U10 5pm-6:30pm and U11-U14 6:45pm-8:15pm.  Each session will be capped at 30 Players per session.

Steve Bartlein a very well decorated player and coach will be leading our players and coaches through a series of drill that will focus on the agility needed for any position, as well as some position specific work. This should lay the foundation for the development of our defensive play as we continue to take his lessons and incorporate them into our winter work in the training facility.

Steve Bartlein enters his second season as an assistant coach for the UW-Whitewater baseball team in 2018-19.

Bartlein was a member of the Warhawks' baseball team from 2010-13, helping the team win two Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships and one WIAC Tournament title and reach the NCAA Tournament four times, including an appearance in the Division III World Series in 2011.
 
A two-year starting infielder, Bartlein garnered first team All-WIAC accolades in 2013 after batting .366 with seven doubles, four homeruns and 38 runs batted in. He was a two-time WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team selection. You can still find him as a staple in the Brookfield Bluesox Lineup of the Land O’ Lakes League, the 5 time All-Star bats 3rd and plays 3B, SS, and Catcher.
 
Bartlein most recently coached baseball at Brookfield East High School, serving as the head varsity coach in 2017. Prior to that he served as head junior varsity coach in 2014, varsity assistant coach in 2015 and 2016 for Brookfield Central High School. He was also an assistant coach at Carroll University during the 2016 and 2017 seasons, working as an infield/hitting coach.
 
In addition, Bartlein works as a Field Director for the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Academy, where he develops the camp itinerary and delivers baseball fundamental instruction.
